(Google, 5 stars, July 21, 2026) These days it’s hard to find good contractors to do work on my house. Luckily I found Royal Craft Home Remodeling to assess my home for hail damage. They were very professional in detailing all the damage from hail and worked with myself along with my homeowners insurance company to assess the damage. Once the claim for a new roof and siding repair was approved, Royal Craft went to work and completed the job in a timely fashion. The job site was kept as clean as could be under the circumstances and the workers were very professional. I will consider using them again for any future home repairs or remodeling. (Google, 5 stars, June 18, 2026) 5 stars , Roof Replacement with GAF HDZ Shingles We recently had Royal Craft Remodeling replace our roof in Glen Ellyn, IL using GAF HDZ shingles, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. The sales process felt more like a genuine consultation than a sales pitch , no pressure tactics, just honest guidance on what our home actually needed. That alone set this company apart from others we considered. Mauricio, a GAF Certified Installer, led the installation and did an outstanding job. His crew was clean, efficient, and clearly experienced. They respected our property throughout the project and left the site spotless. The whole process was cost-effective without cutting any corners on quality. We’re already planning to have our windows replaced next, and we’ll be using Royal Craft Remodeling for that project too. Highly recommend them for anyone in the area looking for honest, high-quality roofing work. Owner response (June 19, 2026): Thank You Mr Brinkman for you kind words and trusting us with your roofing needs !! we appreciate the 5 star review . Bill/mauricio ### Magma R. One of the windows required a wall to be built, reframed and new siding and trim (inside and outside) installed because this window replaced an old door we no longer used. I was a little apprehensive to do this during the pandemic but they couldn't have been more careful always making sure that they were 6' from me and they work masks the entire day. I will definitely be using them again for my next project. Another great job from Royal Craft. Last year they did my windows and this year I hired them to replace my gutters, soffits and fascia. They did a great job and I love the look of black gutters against my grey house. I highly recommend them. Thank you Bill! Owner response (April 2, 2021): Thanks Robert for leaving a review !! hope you enjoy those beautiful windows for a very long time !! ### my P. (Google, 5 stars, April 2, 2022) Regarding Bill of Royal Craft Builders: When we realized that our roof was well beyond its expected lifespan, we did what most do - we got several estimates from roofers we found on Google. While discussing the problem with a friend we discovered that her husband Bill was a builder. While his price was not the lowest, three things convinced me to go with Bill. 1. He wasn't a "salesman". He was honest and straight-forward. 2. He was local. 3. He said the workers that would replace my roof are the same people that did his house. Very happy with the work and the follow through. Peter S. Owner response (April 2, 2022): thanks peter , glad your happy with our product !! ### Kathryn W. We did extensive evaluation to select the contractor to do the job. We finally selected Royal Craft Home Re modelers of Downers Grove. Mr. Bill Cantalupo the owner came to our house and, discussed the scope and took measurements. He then suggested some cabinet suppliers, countertop shops and tile shops. We liked his suggestions, and went with them. They started demolition before cabinets arrived so that there will not be any delay in the work. They even inspected cabinets as they arrived. The whole project was executed very well, with very minimal interruption to our activities. Throughout the contract execution they kept the work area covered and at the end of each day they cleaned the area. The quality of work is excellent and they did not compromise by taking short cuts. The installer assigned to us was very meticulous and checked with us at every step, provided options and completed the project and we were very pleased with the results. At the end of the project the final bills were reviewed and we came at an amicable agreement. We were very happy with the final result and cost of the project. We will be happy to recommend Royal Craft Home Re modelers of Downers Grove for any remodeling project. Owner response (April 2, 2021): thank you Rao, you are a man of integrity , glad you love your kitchen , it was a pleasure to work with you ! ### Elinor K. Very professional crew who not only were quick and did a great job, but also respectable of my home, making sure they took off their shoes/covered my floors when indoors, and even cleaned up any remnants after the work was done. (Google, 5 stars, April 2, 2020) After seeing the work Royal Craft did on remodeling my mother’s master bath I decided to use them to do mine. Bill and his crew did a fantastic job. Willie is a master at tile work, meticulous with details. The gal that came to measure for the shower door was very impressed with his workmanship. I wanted to keep my existing vanity as I had just redone the sink a year prior. He was able to cut the exiting tile up to the vanity and replace with the new tile seamlessly. They turned my old postage stamp sized shower into a roomier much needed extra closet. The extremely large soaking tub is now a fabulous shower. The picture don’t do it justice. I highly recommend Royal Craft and would not hesitate to use them in the future for any future projects Owner response (April 2, 2020): thank you cathy for your wonderful review !! I really enjoyed working with you and Ed!! Enjoy your new Bath remodel ! beautiful selections ### Don G. (Google, 5 stars, April 2, 2019) Royal Craft installed a Pella triple slider window for us and did a great job. They scheduled the install for the day after the door was delivered, were here at 7:30 a.m. as promised and were done by 10:30. The door looks and works great their quote was very competitive. Glad we went with them; they did our job quickly, professionally and really knew what they were doing and I can’t say enough about how clean they were. (Yelp, 5 stars, September 29, 2025) If you're in need of a roof, I highly recommend Royal Craft. After struggling to get callbacks and reasonable estimates for my small project--a flat roof over a single-car garage--a friend referred me to Mauricio, a partner at Royal Craft. He promptly inspected the roof, took core samples and identified serious issues including wet insulation, wet plywood, and protruding screws, and recommended a full re-roof using CertainTeed hot torch modified bitumen, suitable for walkable surfaces, which this roof is. The quoted price was very fair, and Royal Craft's stellar reviews (including an A+ BBB rating) gave me the confidence I needed to proceed. The job was scheduled quickly--within 2 weeks and over a weekend--just in time to prevent further leaks after recent storms. The scope included new copper gutters and downspouts. The crew was extremely professional, super hardworking, and very meticulous about the project and its clean-up. Mauricio explained the options in detail, kept me informed throughout, helped select material colors, provided referrals, and even shared drone photos of the progress. One crew member also recommended a steel fabricator for railings, which are now underway. There was no sales pitch or high pressure, just a desire to help me with my roof issues.Outstanding service and craftsmanship at a very fair price--10/10, highly recommend!! I could not be happier with the service and quality of the work they did in remodeling my bathroom. Bill and Willie did an awesome job. They turned an outdated 1987 bathroom into a luxurious spa. I highly recommend them. Joan F. Review page: https://www.yelp.com/biz/royal-craft-home-remodelers-downers-grove-4?hrid=ns-jJrAvt5EOLtbY9pLTpg ### Joan F. (Yelp, 5 stars, April 4, 2019) Royal Craft just replaced all the gutters on our two story home. The three man work crew was on time and fast. The gutters with leaf guards were installed in just 3-1/2 hours. I thought the price was fair and the work well done. Clean up was perfect. Could not be happier. (Yelp, 5 stars, February 1, 2019) Bill and his crew were one of the only companies to return my call inquiring about having one large picture window installed that a previous contractor did not complete. Bill came out on time, measured and we ended up having 3 more windows replaced. The crew came on time, were very professional and did a wonderful job. Everything was so great we decided to have 5 more windows replaced and plan to finish replacing the rest of our windows this spring with Royal Craft. Communication was always prompt, very easy to work with, and Bill went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with the finished product. Highly recommend! We have used Royalcraft for a number of projects on our Downers Grove home and will continue to do so. Fair prices for excellent work, for years we have had no reason to call any other contractor. (Yelp, 5 stars, April 17, 2017) I have used Royal Craft Home Remodelers several times and I can tell you they are the cleanest group I've ever had work for me. At the end of the day it was like they were never there. Bill Cantalupo is a great guy to deal with. He is professional and knows just about anything about building & remodeling. I trust Bill and his crew with just about anything I need done around the house inside and out. I would recommend Royal Craft to any of my family and friends and I have done that. Best part about Bill is that he is very patient and tries to understand my concerns. Window and door replacement, kitchen and bath remodeling, gutters and just about anything else. He has my trust and I am pleased to give this well deserved 5 star review to Royal Craft.
